I still think Luke got skunked, but rules are rules, to bad this happen to him..
I haven't seen it again or in slow motion, but if it was the right call it is what it is and he wasn't wronged. If it wasn't a good call, then he was skunked. |

Oh I know, just to bad it happen to him, I'm sure the judge made the right call, just sucks all the way around. Just never saw a call like this befor, I learn something new all the time on here, this is what makes BHW such a neat place to be. |

I hate to see them get to the NFR and have a big mess up too.....miss a calf, buck off, hit a barrel, break a barrier, whatever. Hate to see any of them go out of the average. It would be wonderful to have everyone catch, ride, leave them standing, etc in at least one round just to see how it all really stacks up.

Cold hands and Warm Heart
Location: oklahoma | Â Bad call but it happens when there's humans involved. Even with instant repplay, the NFL gets them wrong sometimes. The guy after him had the same thing happened but even got a time. |

Location: Kansas and loving it | If I remember right, the steer must be standing when thrown. The steer had gone to his knees when Luke threw him. With that being said, it really is splitting hairs. Years ago, Mike Smith was flagged out for knocking down a steer and it was obvious. His horse got tight as Mike was to the steers back and fell on the steer knocking it flat on the side.
I understand the Judge flagging Luke, I just think that he should have yelled to Luke telling him to stand him up and throw the steer again. |

I'm not so sure he wasn't telling him. I remember him riding up really close to Luke and he was saying something to Luke while he was throwing him. He wasn't waving the flag at the time and still had it up..... at least I think that's they way it went. Have no idea what he was saying to him of course. |

| Luke's brother put a post up that they know the judge really well and he's very nice and fair. That they trust his decision and even though they are disappointed, that Luke was ready for the next round... |

And that is why Luke is the class act that he is. |

He never flagged him out until Luke turned the steer loose. Everyone makes mistakes and it sure seems like on instant replay the flag man made a bad call. There's times I really wish rodeo had instant replay. |
