As many of you know, discussions can get quite lively about the NFR barrel racers.  Fair enough.  They are public figures and more importantly, professionals.

Professional athletes like MLB and NFL players are talked about daily on TV, radio, newspapers and magazines.  Our professional barrel racers should be just as accomodating as other professional athletes when it comes to discussions about them, as long as it's not malicious.  Comments that relate to their performance are the best.  That is what everyone is interested in.

Personal attacks and rumor will not be allowed.
Discussion of techniques and theories are always welcome.
Even fashion comments can be fun, but please use proper "neticate".

With the added exposure of barrel racing at this level competitors are getting more and more comfortable with the media exposure that goes along with it.  It's part of being a professional .  We're proud of this years finalists at the NFR and we wish them success - and our continued support.

Thanks

Nothing but love & safe runs for the cowgirls but is it okay if I call out the grounds crew?  Because dang man this isn't just any rodeo.

I have no say so or contol here, but I give you permission to make a critique of the ground.  Now the ground this year and the last couple of years has been better than in years past.

Last year was the worst it has been in years.  2103 was possibility the best it had ever been.  Although not great this year, it is so much better than last.

I guess I don't remember last year's ground that well.  I am sure I posted about it even. LOL Did they make a lot of 13 second runs?  I figure when they are hitting the 13's the ground has to be somewhat ok.  The ground should be good there. I do vaguely remember posts about a guy really trying to work to improve the ground because the first few rounds last year the ground was bad.

Seems like the ground was a little better last night than it was for Round 2. Overall, the ground is better than it was last year. But I would STILL like to see it be better. Yes, a little slip can occur anywhere .... but there shouldn't be multiple horses slipping at such a high stakes and high caliber rodeo. Very expensive horses running for lots of money!

Last year it took them about half of the NFR to get the ground decent.

Glad to see the thread bashing Sarah's riding style gone.I was about to lose my mind with that one. 7 rounds down and not to be a spoiler but she has won or placed in every round with only one down barrel and we all know how hard it is to get by them in the Thomas and Mack night after night. It amazes me that people think someone else could jockey her better. Be prepared to hold your breath while watching tonight's round . The ground was the worst yet.

So we can have 5 pages of "discussion" and differing opinions (some pretty strong) about what people wear, but not how they ride? If the riding one went "poof" so should the fashion one...
