With God all things are possible

| I am generally an optimistic person. But there are times, I feel broken and sad.
I realize daily living requires hard work. I am debt free, yet I'm broke. I watch every penny I spend. Yes, life is difficult. Sometimes I just need a little help, when it doesn't make sense to me others get a break, why couldn't I . Example, a person puts $100 in slot machine and wins $15,000! I'm not ill toward this person but why couldn't that have been me. I would have helped others. And somehow I still will. I payed it forward yesterday paying for a woman's lunch, I sent a friend a card with money, she has been in rehab since June. This makes my heart smile and Gods , too.
The psalmist, in heartbreaking honesty, asks what most people ask some time in their life: why am I so sad? Then again, why not? Sometimes we are overwhelmed and sad, not because of anything in particular, but simply because we are.
Sometimes we need to talk it out, to come up with a new strategy, one that will allow us to redirect our hope. If we put our hope in our spouse, kids, or career to make us happy, we'll be downcast and disturbed.
When we stop hoping in people and things to make us happy, it frees them up to be a source, but not our only source of joy. When we choose to hope in God, when we decide to praise our Savior, our faith grows. Jesus fills the empty space , and lifts us up.
Psalm 42:11 why, my soul,,are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.
What do you need to do today in order to put your hope in God, to praise Jesus your Savior? How might deciding to do that bring you greater joy?
Joy and Hope, yes I still have some sad days, but joy and hope will always be in my heart. Praising God for my family and Him allowing me to help others, even if its only in a small way, brings me joy and hope.
For it is WITH God all things are possible
Have a VERY BLESSED JOYFULL and HOPEFUL Day!
Remember there are ALWAYS people that are worse off and feel sad, it only takes one person to change that, with smile, buy their lunch, gas, give from the heart, you will feel joy and hope.
Father God, guide me today to do all things that bring glory and honor to You AMEN
Father Lay Your hand of grace to heal, comfort and guide, Billy Echols, Charlie Thompson, Mary f Carter, Tersa Hart, my sister Donna Barnett having surgery in morning, ink Paisley staff infection, MiMi McMeans, granny Griffen
I pray each of these and their families feel the presence of our Savior during this trial. I pray all in the MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS OUR LORD and SAVIOR AMEN AMEN
Thank you for allowing me to share my daily journey with my life and Jesus

Location: That part of Texas | I sometimes have thoughts like this. It helps to tell yourself that maybe you aren't given some of the bigger gifts like a lottery winning or such because God has already tested you when you had so much less to give others and he sees that you are faithful in that. Giving $2 to a homeless person is different for a man with $5K in his bank account than for someone who only has $10 when they gave it away.

I remember being sad all the time. When I was in high school, my family moved around a lot. We lost everything. I had no friends. My dad had to go out of the country for work. My mom had breast cancer. My sister came home from school crying from being bullied. I was so lonely and empty. Many times I cried mysef to sleep. But I prayed a lot as I matured and it took years but I came out of it tougher and happier than ever. I'm one of the happiest people I know, honestly. Sure I gripe about crap at work or tiffs with my family but overall I'm never down or in a bad mood (with the exception of that week where aunt flo comes to town, but that doesn't really count). I'm still far from having everything figured out. I dropped out of college because I hated it and couldn't find anything even remotely interesting. But I'm not worried. The Lord has blessed me with a decent in-between job with wonderful people, an amazing horse, a supportive family, a wonderful SO, I could go on. So I know he has some plan in store for me.

Location: Central Texas | Sheila, you have helped an untold number of folks! The way you help people is very inspiring for the rest of us that say we want to, but hold back. Your beautiful bright smile that you so willingly share is a great way to brighten up somebody's day. I've experienced it, so I know! Your easy sharing of info regarding faith and horses helps a LOT of others. The way you affect people makes them spread the love, and it grow and grows. It is OK to be sad. And the fact that you are honest about it simply brings more reality to your ministry! You are a real person. Thank you all that you do.
