Several years ago I got a great recipe for potato soup made in the crock pot from someone on here, sorry I don't remember who it was. I've lost the recipe and would like to get it again if possible.

I use fresh potatoes and add ham to the recipe NJJ posted. It came from farrierlady.

I'm making some today. I use my crock pot. It's called loaded baked potato soup.
I use red potatoes unpeeled and I cut them up into cubes so they cook faster.
A little over a quart of chicken stock
Fresh green onion diced ..
A whole Vidalia onion diced
2 teaspoons of salt
1 teaspoon pepper
And about 8 slices of bacon crumbled up

After potatoes are done I add in a few cups of half n half to thicken it up and some sour cream and sharp cheddar cheese..

It's amazing!
