Location: Wyoming | Anyone looked into this company? Or signed up for the Infrahorse Camera that is used with a smart phone?
I know BHW is a great place to get all kinds of answers. Maybe someone here has either dealt with them, or became a CIT through Thermscan Diagnostics?
Thanks in advance.

| Last weekend I spoke with a vet and physical therapist that said the resolution that you get on your phone is not nearly strong enough to accurately give you the imaging you need. It's a giant money dump.
Same thing with vetricyn. It's very expensive very deluted saline. It was formed when a study was formed finding not puting ANYThING on equine wounds is the best route for healing but horse owners jut could not stop them selves from puting something on it... Vetricyn filled that but essentially your leaving it open and free. They did find using products like swipe when flies are present was benefiting

| The company has a bad reputation. I'm not sure how she is still in business. I highly recommend not buying anything from them. You'll be lucky to get your product or your money back. |

I have to strongly disagree with the comment on Vetricyn. You are misinformed about it being diluted saline. It is a dilute and STARBILZED form of Hypochlorite, related to bleach. It is marketed as Puricyn for humans. I have sprayed mythroat with the Vetricyn at the start of my stupid, esophageal thrush and it kicks it's butt by the next day. No treatment leaves me with a horrible sore throat for weeks and treating with an antifungal takes days to resolve.
If it is ineffective , why is it used so much in hospitals as Puricyn?
As far as the thermoscan I was wondering the same thing. Not sure where the resolution by phone is applicable ?? |

| Absolutely no way in heck can a thermal imaging camera work from a smartphone- you have to have a controlled clinical setting to have even the most sophisticated cameras work well enough to even begin to put together a diagnosis- honestly, this is just about one of the dumbest ideas I have ever heard of- just do your research folks- the equine therapy tool market is a buyer beware market!! Study up before you throw your money down.....

| This company is a scam.. I suing them at the moment.. They do not deliver products. I paid in full a CIT Course which not required to buy the camera. I paid for the camera back in April.. I have yet to get my camera and my money back. I was promised a refund since June 16th 2015 as of today I have not received any refund. I filed for court last Friday. |

| Not sure about the Thermascan, but the FLIR thermal imaging accessory for my iPhone is really cool. There's no issue with quality at all. In fact, I've downloaded the images to my laptop and they're fantastic. Have seen a hoof abscess in an antelope, infected incisions that appear normal on the outside etc. I borrowed my first one, now I'm purchasing my own. It's a great adjunct to "regular" diagnostics! |

Bear I do believe that is what we call in medical terminology an inflamus assholus. The people who sell these products are reported to have a similar problem. |

| The FLIR accessory is around $250. It's a useful diagnostic tool in my practice. I didn't save any images on my phone... Wish I had. The abscess was very well defined and had eluded other diagnostics. We're able to pinpoint the area and treat with a minimally invasive approach. They said xrays and MRI were hocus pocus too...
I know nothing about Thermascan. Sounds like it's not a good company. Don't blame the technology. :-) |

| I had posted on InfraHorse a few months prior hoping that it was not a fraud and at this point I would have to agree with the other posts on this forum. There is a smart phone adapter available for purchase on the FLIR website and you can sometimes find them on Amazon. If you are looking for an affordable way to take thermal images, this would be a better route to go.

| I ordered the infra horse attachment in February of last year. Nearly one year ago. Each month I email asking where it is, and each time my product should have arrived, I email asking where it is, and they tell me it will be next month or next week. Lately, they don't even respond.
