abrooks - 2016-01-24 7:44 PM BrightEyes - 2016-01-24 3:14 PM I have 4 TSC Stores within a 50 mile radius of me and they are all awesome! Keep in mind that it is probably not TSCs fault that they don't have a product in stock. They are also at the mercy of their supplier/manufacturer and can only do what they can do. :) Sounds like the manufacturer is having problems to me. Manufacturing isn't the issue in my area.. There are 400 bags sitting at DC in stock that the store and sales rep can't get their crap together.. I think they have also stated they literally have thousands of bags in the DC inventories so again not manufacturing issue.
They better before it gets old.. thats why I wouldnt switch to a Line of feed that I cant get regularly.. sometimes dependability is better option .. for me anyway..
RG has a ONE YEAR shelf life. So thats a good thing as far as freshness goes. But before I switched to curost/Whole grain clean diet/ I fed Ultium. My tractor supply would get in " Fresh" bags that were well over 60-90 days old. I was not a happy camper.. |

This is definitley my main concern.... I really like the idea behind it and have seen so many great reviews I want to give it a try. I was hoping maybe this what just a fluke problem with my local store, but sounds like it is an issue for a lot of people.... :-/ |

Location: Northwest Florida | My TSC refuses to order RG for me. They say that it is not on their list of orderable items. Very frustrating.
I also cannot get in any Nutrena products, other than Safe Choice original. They told me if I want Senior of Perform, I must preorder and prepay by the pallet! |

That's my problem. . If it starts getting harder to get.. I'm afraid I'll have to switch to something more readily available, unfortunately. |

How are they supposed to get you fresher bags? If they didn't warehouse them and have enough supply, people would complain about not having enough product. It takes time from manufacturing to the store. About 30 days would be the freshest probably possible, but then anything happens and you are out of stock. Just trying to put this in perspective. |

yes agree with that..... 90 days isnt that old, but they said they arent getting the RG moved out... so how long will they sit there then.. weather may also play a factor..

Location: Willows, CA | Renew Gold is available to just about any independent feed store in the US through regional distribution. It does not have to go through Tractor Supply. That is just one channel of availability. All an independent feed store has to do is either call us, or ask their feed distributor. We have no issues in making the product, nor is it back ordered by us. All orders are going out on their requested dates. |

But why do the independent stores say that they have to pay more than what TSC sells it for? I have been told that by three different stores. |

| Well since my local TS hasn't gotten any in yet..(ordered it a week before christmas) I decide to drive almost 2hrs to get some at an independent dealer. She gets about a dozen bags a week in, NO PROBLEMS at all. Crazy how TS can't get it in being a HUGE company.
Anyhow, I've been feeding 1 1/2lbs per day for about a week now to my 3 horses. Just curious, besides hay, those that feed RG do you add anything else in their grain? I feel like I'm missing out and might need more vitamins besides RG? Just wondering! Any of you that feed what do you all feed with it. Thanks. |

I have seen in past posts that a lot of people seem to add Alfalfa pellets to it.... I plan to add it to the feed that she is getting now and gradually take away the grain. Then when she is at my traininers and turned out on their good pasture use just RG but when at my house with grass hay add alfalfa pellets..... I think.
Like you I worried about vit/min... So I wondered about adding a little ration balancer to it, or like Equilix or something...
IF I CAN EVER GET IT!!!! |

Location: Willows, CA | We do not recommend added vitamins with Renew Gold.. As to mineral supplements, we typically add if there is a regional shortage, but most cases this is not necessary. You do need salt available, and we recommend Redmond. |

Tractor Supply is not stocking this in their Southeastern Distribution centers - I spoke with them myself. Our local tractor supply's have been ordering it since 11/15/15, to no avail (one shipment in December of 2 bags, LOL).
If you have any ideas how to get this in our Tractor Supply, please PM me. Thank you!!
