Being a Christian doesn't keep me from battles, but it does PREPARE me to get through battles.
When we are victorious over the battles of life, we are relieved. As recall God's faithfulness, there is a spiritual bond between us and God. An intimacy is established and deepened that only victory can create.
In Psalm 18 David felt this way as well. God has protected him from his enemies, and he was relieved. Nothing gives relief like victory. David had seen the hand of God guide, protect and sustain him. Because God's activity was so strong within him, through him, and around him, David became more devoted to God than ever before.
God Himself became his divine Warrior! Using military metaphors about God, David testified God's strength and power. He shares that God his Fortress, his refuge, and His Security. When we walk through the battles of life, God teaches us about Himself. We discover who He is. We learn as David learned of His sovereign power and protection in our lives. When deliverances comes, not only is relief felt, but praise to God alone comes feom the depths of our hearts.
Has God delivered you? If so, tell God you love Him. Fill heaven with your gratitude. Lift up all that God has been to you during the battles in life . Bless The Lord today.
Psalm 18:1-3 I will love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliver; My God , my strength, in whom O trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation , my stronghold. I will call upon The Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved my enemies.
For it is WITH God all things are possible
Father God, guide me today to do all things that bring glory and honor to You. Father Lay Your hand of grace over Mary F Carter family and friends for comfort, guide them to celebrate her life, as they lay her to rest. Amen Have a Blessed day feel love, peace and joy.
