Hi there I'm interested in hearing anyone's reviews on Irvine barrel saddles. How they sit you, quality, how well they fit the horse. Also interested in burns saddles, circle y ty Mitchell renegade, martha josey starlights, pozzi and Martin crown c. I'm looking for a good deep seat that gives you security when riding a powerful horse but still that close contact :-) any advice would be great! Thank you

I have the Pozzi's and a Crown C like them, but if you really want a nice deep seat with the security that would be the Pozzi, but I really really like my Caldwell, lots of security deep seat and close contact, you cant beat a Caldwell

Yes I am :-)

Irvines are made in Stephenville TX (if my memory serves me right). I've been up to their shop in Calgary. The saddles seemed comparable to the upper quality brands. I would get one personally. Call and talk to one of his sales girls. I know Scott and LeAnn. They've got such a large inventory, you can pretty much get one off the shelf or I'm sure talk to them about a custom one.

I haven't ridden an Irvine, looks wise they are copying Pozzis and Martins, if I was to go that route I would definitely spend the money and get a higher end one to get the quality which varies greatly with these saddles depending on how much you are willing to spend.
I have ridden circle y Marlene's, not the models you're asking about I know, they are nice saddles, but the quality for a very long term saddle just isn't there. I have ridden an older Martin Cervi, Iron horse and Crown C, the Iron horse being my favourite of the three, the older Cervi second and crown c least favourite. High end quality saddles, heavy, and fussy to fit, I found the crown c to have the least seat, I prefer something with a deeper seat.
I now ride Pozzis, can't beat them for a deep secure seat, nice light saddles, well made I've had better made but they are overall well made.

My daughter be a Marlene circle y and it's not made very well, she loves it, i had a Martin i didn't care for it i used to have several rusty Andrews they were ok my favorite is allen ranch check them out they have used if you want to go that route, my dad taught me not to by saddles that have the back cinch cut out of the leather, probably doesn't matter if you aren't roping just always took his advice

Own It and Move On

Pozzi - not the best leather in the world, but super balanced ride. I like them.
Martin - won't own one (and yes, I've had a few) - this is the ONLY line of saddles I've ever had trouble getting my feet behind me in.  Killed my back and didn't fit my horses.
Sibley - great option on some horses, very comfy but not all horses like them
Shiloh - nice balanced ride, handy saddle that fits a lot of horses
