| Can anyone give me any ideas of what else to do while we are in the area? My husband is very active and would like hiking or anything outdoorsy and I'm ready for some shopping. Neither one of us had ever been to Texas before though. Can someone give us some places to go or things to see? |

| When we went, we went to Stockyards all day saturday. Sunday at the American they have more shopping. We had bad weather but I believe they have events all weekend (clinics and presentations). A lot of people go to Teskeys to shop too while they are there.
ETA these is also a big pbr even there. I dont care much for bulls but I know a lot of people go.

| We have gone the last two years and here is a list of things we have done (or wanted to do. Last year the weather was awful so we spent most of it shopping)
~Stockyards (Go during the day Friday and stay for the rodeo that night)
~Six Flags (spent a day)
~Teskeys, NRS, Cavenders, Sheplers, Paul Taylor's. (Teskeys, NRS, and Paul Taylors can be a drive, so plan on road trips)
~Wild Bills western store in Dallas
~Zero Gravity amusement park in Dallas
~JFK Memorial (6th floor museum)
~Dallas Farmers Market - Opens March 1st
~Dallas Aquarium (super cool)
~Holocaust Museum in Dallas.
~Watched The Patriot barrel race in Fort Worth
~PBR Iron Cowboy Saturday night. I'm not into bull riding but it's a lot of fun!
We also went to some medieval times live dinner show in Dallas. Can be a little cheesy, but the food was really good! http://www.medievaltimes.com/

We did all this plus went to South Fork----Chandler is a "Dallas" fanatic!! I had a ball seeing his face light up while touring the house and helping the tour guide (he knew all the scenarios she covered plus answers to all her questions from the new "Dallas" as well as the old) It was snowing along with freezing rain , but I'm so glad we did it. |

Location: Colorado plains standing on a goat head! | We were down there last year, we did some shopping and went into the museum that is across the street from the Stockyards arena, it looked interesting, we were too late to start the tour. We also did the trade show at the American (and got soaked!). We also went to watch the Patriot mounted shooting for a while Saturday night. |
