Location: SW North Dakota | A copper deficiency can cause rough haircoats, but mineral balance can be a touchy tightrope...
There are several other things that can cause it, too- but you kinda have to know what is common for your area- selenium is another that comes to mind, but levels too high can cause worse issues. Your county extension agent can maybe give you a place to start with some stats for your area. Otherwise, I might suggest an analysis to see where to start. |

Location: Sunny So Cal | I feel like all my horses who have been put on THE have come out with better coats than before. I notice it being shiner and softer. Not sure if it is just the complete supplement thing or a proper balance of nutrients in it but it always works. Even on my friends horses that is the first they notice too. I would try a Muscle Mass or Performance. |

| We have a mare with a thick, frizzy mane. No matter what we fed, her mane was always a tangled mess and sunburned. Since I got her digestive system in good order, her mane is black and no matter how hard the wind is blowing, she doesn't get huge matted knots in her mane any more. She is outside 24/7. My sorrel gelding 's mane is softer and even has a shine to it now. I think it maybe an imbalance of some kind. |

| I've had my gelding on Cool Calories for about year now, He grew hardly any winter hair, and he is slick and shiny. I just recently started him and my mare and my pony that is borderline Cushings on HealthyCoat and I have seen a big difference, in just over a week! |
