Does anyone know if there is a Equine Swim/Rehab place in Oklahoma? Marcotte's is not an option. Or I do not mind North Texas either, but I live in North Central Oklahoma. Thank you in advance

Yes, Oklahoma Equine Hospital in Washington has an AquaTred. Just don't expect them to make your horse an exception and veer off of their feeding program.

I also think there is another place that opened in Oklahoma.... I remember a post on here, but cannot remember the name.

The Lazy E Ranch has an underwater treadmill. I'm pretty sure it is available for all horses, not just those there for breeding purposes.

ANJA in Wynnewood where the old NedPoint used to be opened just before Christmas. I believe they have an aqua tread as well as several other things. I am thinking about sending a mare there. I know they are on Facebook.

Thank you everyone! Next question is what is better, Aqua-Tred or an actual pool?

I choose the Aqua Tred because I was told swimming wasn't great for stifle issues, causes the horses to hollow out their backs and I had worries about bone density as there is no concussion with swimming.

There are plenty of arguments for both. My vet thought it was a good idea to try the Aqua Tred and so that's what we went with.

I know Brookelyn Owens is putting in a pool but will be first of march before its ready is what she said. She also has a equicizer , loping track and work pen. I am sending my mare down there in a few weeks before our first rodeo. She also has laser therapy , breathing treatments and a heated barn . Her facebook page is Complete Equine Performance. Dr Ford will be coming by every 3 months for appointments along with a equine dentist and a farrier. She lives in Muldrow, OK so don't know how close that is to you but might be worth checking out.

We just visited ANJA in Wynnewood and were SO impressed with their facility, their work ethic.  VERY affordable and excellent maintenance and care - they seem to treat customer's horses as their own, and their own are VERY well taken care of.  Really fine people and facility: HIGHLY recommended.  Aqua tread, theraplate, state of the art treadmill, heat/therapy lamps, free walker....etc.
