14 years is a long time for a Rott to live... I can only assume it was because she had a wonderful person looking after her... She's looking down on you from the Bridge.....

Location: Florida.. | yes thanks komet.. I got her as a pup.. ..she had her own toddler bed and went everywhere with me to. she was like my lil girl to me. this year was hard for her.she was able to be on alot of pain meds thru christmas she could be with us.... she started failing in last few months and i think I was being selfish.. but knew it was time for her to be at peace.. Julie (SG) messeged me and it helped me come to terms with it. she said they will never leave you thats how loyal they are. pain and sickness she will stay with you.. thats how much she loves me.. it is up to me to make the decision for her.. so I did.. my whole family misses her but my heart is broke but we all have been thru this ..

Bibs.. We've all heard the phrase... "the eyes are the window to the soul"... I have to but look at her eyes... I bet you miss her as much as I miss mine... (and of course we all know that SG has suffered this before and is a great help to those that have not) |

Im sorry bibs...Im sure their are alot of people here who remember ne loosing my Izzabella. She took my soul with her.Hotbear helped me greatly as did SG.I thought I was gonna die...really die of a heart attack when I lost her. I couldnt physically lift myself off of my floor.I now have my rotti josie who has been a real life saver. But now she has injured her leg and I just feel so sad for her.ROTTIS are the best ever in my opinion. |

What a happy girl. And I agree you can tell she was well loved. I believe they stay with us until they know another animal needs a home and to be loved. Then they cross over that bridge to make room in our lives and hearts for another angel. That's the only way I can stand it when one of my dogs or cats dies. (Ive not lost a horse yet. . . But I fear Dan's time will come before too much longer) If we love them they will break our hearts, but I KNOW in these situations it absolutely is better to love and lose than never to have loved. Our 4 footed babies are God's blessings to us. . . .
Hugs to those of you who are missing your kids. |

Location: Kansas | So unfair that dogs ( and all animals and us) have such a short life span. Wherever this adventure of "growing old" came from, it was a very bad idea.

Oh, so sorry you lost your girl..... it's so hard to lose them. I always thought my sweet Katie came into my life for a reason and to help me through some life stuff (she changed my life), and when she left I just always feel like she is just off helping someone else in their life now.....she was my angel dog... |

| This is super sad since my cousin just lost her German shepherd dog of 13 years that we all grew up with a few days ago on the 3rd anniversary of me having to put my australian shepherd puppy to sleep (we only had him two months before he got sick, but doesn't make it easier since he was such a sweet puppy).
