At a barrel race where they gave average prizes, they gave me the money owed, but said I was SOL on the prize, because they had already given it to the wrong person! ________________________________ Oh darn. Something like that happened to me - -not wrong time, but somehow they gave my year end reserve champion high school pole bender buckle to the wrong person - that person was driving around with shoe polish writing on their vehicle saying reserve champion pole bender, so I knew who it was. But the rodeo association would not ask her to return it or order me another. oh wow! I could never keep something knowing I didn't win it.

Yeah, I would feel stupid knowingly claiming someone else's buckle! Did they not tell her? At a finals, it was announced that I had won the 2D saddle. I went to the bathroom, came out, and they announced they had made a mistake, someone else had won it. I won the reserve buckle, which was beautiful. The person who won had kept track and caught the mistake. I'm glad she did, and thankful that it was before I had already carted it home! Moral of the story: stay out of the bathroom till you get your prize! lol
