Looking for opinions on a new bumper pull horse trailer. We have Logan and TrailsWest around us that look to be the nicer trailers. Anyone have experience with the Logan Razor or TrailsWest Sierra Select? Also considering ordering a bumper pull from Platinum, but haven't seen any around. Any info on any of these would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I don't know anything about the brands of trailers you are inquiring about, but after growing up pulling a bumper pull 16' trailer & now pulling a gooseneck, I will NEVER buy a bumper pull trailer again. Just my opinion!!

I have both types, bumper and gooseneck, love them both. I have a 4star 2 horse straight load, I prefer straight load over a slant for a bumper pull, it seems to pull a little easier but then I might just think it does, lol!!

I had a Logan 1996 bp 4 horse slant w/ramp and lg dressing room..   I loved that trailer... paid 6,500 new and sold it 7 years later for the same amount.  That told me it held its value well.  Never had a problem with it, of course it was fancy, but it was well made and never had a horse that didn't want to load right in. If I needed a bp I would really consider another.

Me either. They feel like you are pulling a waddling boat.

I have never pulled a Logan but my grandparents have an older TrailsWest BP.  That is what I hauled in all through and out of High School until I moved out.  That sucker is HEAVY, they may have gotten a little lighter but everyone that I know that has pulled a newer one still says they are heavy.

?My sister and her hsuband had a new Logan LQ and they loved everything about it. When are can finally get a brand new trailer I will look into Logans as one of my options based on their trailer.

I've been browsing as well and just can't come to grips with a bumper pull.  I want a gooseneck!  It's all I've ever had.  Pulled a bumper pull once and I was all over the place.  But if the trailers I have seen, I do like the Trails West and Logans.

Thanks for the input. Wish a gooseneck was an option, but have to go with a bumper pull. Is anyone hauling a Logan with the new porous floor? Is it as low maintenance and as cushioning for the horse as they make it out to be?
