It depends on your goals.
For me personally, I'd rather have something a tad older and already riding vs something that I'd need to feed another couple years and pay somebody to break. I do however like shorties tho.
I don't think you can go wrong with either. Both sound like excellent bloodlines.

I've been on the fence for 3 days, praying. I wanted to say
thank you
to everyone who offered their opinions and advice. Making my decision in morning, but leaning strongly towards the Dashing Bye x daughter of Tres Seis. I went and rode him, hard to beat a long, smooth stride. He's plain Jane brown, but pretty is, as pretty does, and for OTT with only 60 days under saddle, he's coming along nicely...felt good in my hands!

JKT Frenchmans Bux has some nice offspring coming up, he never got the chance to show what he could do but that stallion can flat out fly. He just didn't get started til he was 9 and then had a subpar trainer.
