Location: White Mountains of AZ | I had one for a bit... most sure footed horse ever! You'd ask, and no matter if it was rocky, steep, downhill he'd do it with not a problem. He was also probably the most strong willed/bratty horse I had ever met!!

| My FIL has a team that he drives. The gelding has a great personality and is very willing. The mare can be a little stubborn! They are pretty cool ponies, with beautiful manes. |

Location: south GA | My husband and I have a team of haflinger mules. They stay fat on air, low maintenance. Sweet little guys, one loves attention more than the other, he will bump his behind into you if you are in the pasture with him until you scratch him. They aren't going anywhere. I think all we will own from this point on for pulling will be haffies or haffie mules. |

Location: Somewhere around here | Thanks everyone! From the research I've done myself they definitely seem like sweet stout ponies. I'm just hoping if we do by a team (which is what hubby wants) then they better be rideable too lol! |

| My mom has one that she shows. She both rides and drives and does pretty well with her. She can be a bit spunky at times but she is only 4 so that is to be expected, but overall she is a nice little horse. Definitely more manageable than the bigger drafts. |

Location: The birthplace of Honest Abe | I grew up working at farm that bred, raised and showed them. I used to drive them and ride them all the time. They are some of my favorites of all time. Hardy, smart, easy to train and sooo gentle. Hardest part of a Haffie is keeping that thick mane and tail clean LOL.
