| Is there anything you have found that allows you to stop giving the omep? My most recent project, the OTTQH, went off feed the night and next morning after we came home from a ranch sorting clinic. I don't see that changing from event to event so I'm thinking ahead about what I can do. She is currently on an ulcer sup that is called Breathe Eze that has really had an impact on her demeanor. She is much calmer. It's not a complicated supp. Just has digestive enzymes, probiotics, probiotics, added vits and maybe calcium. I'm not sure what about it chilled her out so much. Anywho, I meant to bump her up to the loading dose a few days before to try to keep her on her feed but I forgot. Idk that I buy that that would work though. |

Location: Where its cold and hot | I have had really good luck keeping my ulcer prone mare happy feeding forco. She is able to go much longer between the full blown month treatment. Now I just give her a low dose of omeprazole on show days. |

| I have found Jailbreak from Oxygen has been a miracle paste for us. Prior to jailbreak, we would get rid of the uclers (30days) and then just give omep 3 days prior to hauling and during stay. last year during a big race my horse went off of his feed and hay and just laid out, I went to the oxygen dealer and bought some jailbreak, within 30 minutes my horse was up and eating and ran his fastest times all three runs that weekend. From that day forward we are off of omep and carry jailbreak. we give 20 cc when loading in trailer and 20cc a day during stay until home. Once home no jailbreak, strictly low sugar low starch feed. Im very impressed by this paste, it was and is a miracle paste for us :) We have also used it on our show pigs for healthy guts. |

Location: run2win land | I used to have to give it whenever my horse got put in the trailer. I now use equi-sure. It works great to keep their stomach settled and eating and drinking on the road. Benefit is my horse now clockes faster. Dose costs a little over $2. Wow! |

Location: Feeding mosquitos, FL | I've had a lot better luck with ranitidine. I'll treat for 30 days then start again about Thursday before the weekend. Then Oxygen Jailbreak the day of the barrel race. A friend of mine is having a lot of success with OxyUlcer too. |

Location: South Central Florida | Not really. I have given lots of different things. The Omeprazol just keeper her eating and happy better than anything I have tried. I love FORCO but I still notice the Omep helps. She gets 2 things from different companies. InTheZone from Animal Element, and RACE mineral from DAC. Both improved her attitude, and deal with different issues. She also gets a lot of Alfalfa hay when we are on the road, but the Omep works so well, I don't really see a reason to change with something that works. I do buy "generic" Omep from an online source, AND I don't give a full tube every trailer ride. She gets about 1/4 tube per day when on the road. |
