Do they make foaling cameras for barns without electricity?

My maiden mare is due in April, and I was going to looking into a camera if possible.  But where she's having the baby there isn't electricity and no way to get it there.  This is probably a huge shot in the dark, but figured i'd ask.  Anyway to save on sleep on foal watch would be great!  LOL.

You may look into game cameras they use for hunting? Not sure if they make a foaling camera that runs off a battery pack...

Hmm...my hubby has a game camera.  It takes video....but i'm not sure if there is a way to stream it onto a computer or phone or something so I can watch it.  I might have to ask him.

You could get one of the power inverters and hook it up to a car/marine battery.  That battery would run a small camera a long time  And then take battery to house and charge as needed.  It is a little redneck but it does work

I just bought the Breeder Alert---it attaches to the halter and a pager buzzes--loud enough to wake you when the mare lies flat more than 20 seconds. It has attachments to hook to a large battery. You don't have to have a phone line --even though it would be ideal to have electric and phone. When it buzzes then I check on my camera to see if she is just resting or is indeed fixing to foal.  I'm getting a lot more sleep??

I used my daughter's infant monitor, although our barn was close enough to run an extension cord. They do make them with cameras that operate on battery, you'd just have to read carefully.
Hope you find something that works! I loved being able to watch what was happening. Even though my max range was the kitchen sink, I just cranked up the volume and checked a few times a night... way better than running out in the cold! :)

I used a baby monitor a couple of years ago and my neighbors apparently had one on the same frequency. All I could hear was them arguing one night lol.
