| David was a warrior king. He was a man of action and a dynamic leader. He battled Goliath as a teenager and fended off Sauls attacks. He led his men to battle. If something wasn't right, he wasn't hesitant about intervening. Therfore, one might assume that he was also headstrong, cocky, and impulsive. And history suggests he was at times. yet, in Pslam 109:14-20 the curtain is pulled back, and we are given a behind the scenes look at his prayers.
14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before The Lord, and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out. Let them be continually before The Lord, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth; because he did not remember to show mercy ,but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart. As he loved cursing , so let it come to him; as he did not delight in blessing , so let it be far from him. 20 Let it be the Lord's reward to my accusers, and to those who speak evil against my person.
Even though David was not afraid to act, he was also a man who understood the power of prayer. Whatever great thing might occur on the battlefield, he put his trust first and foremost in what God would do on his behalf. Whatever God accomplished would significantly more impressive than anything David could accomplish in his own strength.
Are there ways in which you find yourself acting of your own strength?
Is there a situation you have been wrestling with that you need to hold before God in prayer?
David wrote out his prayers. Would it be helpful to write out your own?
God's intervention is more powerful than anything we can accomplish on our own.
For it is WITH God all things are possible.

Father God, guide me today to do all things that being glory and honor to You. Father, I need You for strength, comfort, and healing, for Virginia Proctor, my mom, dad Bill, Jan Cagle, Tersa Hart, Barbara Cates, Miranda Berlin, Angela Bright, Andrea Cline, Don, Sylvia Wilson, Bud Bush, and so many others You know Lord, Lay Your hand of grace(favor) over each, and me Lord. AMEN 
This message really touched my heart, the past 3 weeks have been very trying, with mom in hospital with pneumonia , dad with dementia, and me with ear and sinus infection, mom is out of hospital THANK YOU JESUS, with the, both still needing care I have a lot on my plate. I'm trying to keep organized, doing theirs and mine. I don't want to get overwhelmed, I read this passage and felt peace. Things have to be done, some things can wait, my barrel racing is out on sideline right now, I did get to ride first time in week, now we have rain coming, so will have to work around that. Mom and dads day doesn't start till 9-9:30 am, I am an early riser 7 am so I get two hrs done my house feed animals ,two loads laundry ,stalls cleaned, go to theirs fix their breakfast, cleanup, I hauled 6 barrels of trash , done their laundry, came home rode one horse, took my trash off, watered horses, back to their house at 2:30 for their lunch, came home rode two more. My sister took them supper . I cooked for my husband.
Bath and to bed.

Going to fix mom and dad breakfast, go to town to bank, get keys made, got to two pharmacies for meds, back to their house have a rebath man coming to quote on walkin bath, cook their lunch and back home see what can get done. BLESSINGS TO ALL!! My days are full, hoping just enough rain get arena watered, have a barrel clinic is Saturday make extra money so when I do get to go barrel race have money to go. YAHOO!! Riding yesterday was relaxing, sun,out 81 degrees., felt soooooo good.
