| We own Bank The Cash who is now 34 and still doing ok. He is wobbly some days but still pretty full of himself and has been feeling really spunky the last couple of weeks. Today I had to lock him up in my round pen because of work we were doing and he hates to be locked up, he normally has the run of the place. I got done riding my horse and decided to let him race us from the round pen. So I opened the gate and gave him a smooch and raced him part way across the arena and of course he won! My filly was pretty insulted and a little confused so forgive her head being in the air but it was fun to let the old man have a little fun. If you have never heard of him he is an own son of Dash For Cash out of Miss Hay Bug x Lady Bugs Moon. He has a 105 SI and made over $73,000 and had to run against some greats. I love the old man and good to see him having fun and feeling good. This was for fun I don't normally race loose horses but at 34 he doesn't get into much trouble.

Location: Stuck in a cubicle having tropical thoughts | Love it. My old mare is 34 also and she's still spunky, gritty and sassy. I think that attitude is what keeps them going so long. I always say "thier legs will give out before their heart does". |

I wish it was one of his colts. We bought him knowing he has fertility issues and only got one mare in foal and she aborted. He hated the medicine so much we just let him be so now all I do is feed the old fart. |
