For those of you that buy your vaccines online, what brands do you use? The Prestige V from Valley Vet seems to be the most 'bang for your buck' but I wasn't sure if it was any good. I've always just bought mine from the vet and gave them myself. But it's gotten so expensive that I'm trying to research buying online. I'd like some input from you all. Thanks so much!

Be sure to check on the shipping costs when you buy online for vaccines. They usually want them shipped 2 day air at the least and that is a bit pricey, sometimes close to $20.  It might not be cost effective if you are vaccinating just one or two horses.

I order almost everything online, for our cattle too. Normally if you spend 40.00 or so you will get free shipping, I use Valley Vet and have lately been getting things through Santa Cruz, very good prices. I have been told to not always stick with the same brand to switch it up every year or other year, otherwise their systems can become more immune to that product.

I order all Vaccines from Valley Vet also and never had a problem, but when I do order I always do it during the early part of spring befor it starts to get to hot so I dont worry about my vaccines getting hot and always get extra packs of the cooling gel. I always saved a ton of money ordering online.
I used Fort Dodge brands quite a bit but it just depend on what I was using the vaccine for.

I would love to give my own vaccines (it seems more economical to me), but I don't know how to give them...props to those of you who do!!

have the vet teach you or someone that knows how,  teach you.  Not hard.
