Have a horse with bruised heels that shock wave therapy was suggested for....can you tell me the good and the bad

I have had it done on my horses, my dog and myself. So far, other than cost, I have seen no downside. If a knowledgeable vet has recommended it, I wouldn't hesitate.

Benifit after the 1st session...just depends on the horse and how bad his issues are.....i get it done weekly on my back and the improvement is unreal.....m
