Oh yes!!! I OWN my good bay horse cause he is an odd ball! His previous owner that raised him does NOT like BIG horses. So She bred her barely 15 hand, maybe 1000 pounds mare who was off the track and fast as heck to a BARELY 14.2 hand tall all CUTTING bred red roan stud. SHe expected a 14.2-15.1 hand 1000-1100 pound horse with speed and cow combo. LOLOLOLOLOL Um, when I got him as a 5 year old he was 16.2 and weighed about 1200 pounds. So unexpected that we actually did a DNA test to see if they shipped the wrong semen etc. Sure enough, he is just BIG and his parents are verified and correct!!! LOL I personally like bigger horses so I was able to buy him pretty cheap!!! Love him to death and he loves to run cans! |

I love that. I love the shorter horses. I feel like I ride a short horse better. I have tried the tall horses and can never get with one. She sounds really nice. Do you have any pics? |

| I had a gelding all cow bred but his sire was 15 hands and dam was 15.2, he came out all of 14.1. He could run though. |

Location: Nebraska | My first horse was a grade little mare. She was at least half Quarter Horse, but she definitely had some Thoroughbred in her. But she had to have something else as well- she measured 14.2 at the stick. |

| My main barrel horse is a thoroughbred gelding, but nobody believes me! He's 16.2 but he's built like a tank :) and although he's super athletic, he's also very lazy :) even with spurs...haha. The love of my life :)
Then my little side project is a grade qh palomino mare, only 14 hands and just full of **** and vinegar!
Whenever I take friends on trail rides, they assume they are riding the mini qh instead of the big tb! :p other way around...haha |

Location: Somewhere around here | I wanted to add that my oddball is a tall cutting horse. He's a grandson of Peptoboonsmal but stands at 15.2 and it's all legs. I heard Pepto was big for a cutting horse but man I didn't think a grandson would be this big! This was when he was 4.

Location: Buffalo, Wyoming | We had an average size culled off cutter who was probably 14'2 on a good day. At the time we owned her we also owned a couple of horses that were all race bred, one had ran on the chariots and the other had been in race training but never ran. This little mare would leave them in their dust if we went and breezed them on the track. She was also one of the hottest horses I have ever rode. After her I swore I would never have a full bred cutting/cow horse again. She was gritty as all get out but I think she could have put someone in a bad position if they were not ready for it. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | My schoosh under 16 hand appendix bred, running bred on the bottom with some cow way way back and WP/halter on the top who thinks he is a all cow bred and a freakishly low hock set. I had just gotten him as an unstarted coming 2 year old. We had gotten rain and the grass in the pasture was really long, he was running and went to stop and did a slide stop that was about 20 foot long, never panicked, never scrambled, just put his butt in the ground and rode it like he had been born to it. Walked out of it and took off the other direction and did it again. My fiance was mind blown. When I went to my first lesson on him with a reined cow horse trainer he was asking me for tips on how I got that stop on him, LOL!!! Yesterday I hauled to ride, he has been off with some issues in his front feet for the last few months, all I've been able to do is walk and trot until February at which time we got the go ahead to start getting fit for running barrels this spring. I've gotten to ride him on and off the last month due to rain and not having safe ground to ride in, so yesterday I was loping him around and took him down the middle of the arena, he opened up his stride pretty good, I asked him to ease into the stop...NOPE. Dropped his butt and we left some pretty impressive 11's about 10 foot long. I'll take that from a horse that has been more off than on for the last 6 months, LOL!!! The resident trainer at the facility was quite taken with Tucker too, LOL!! |

Location: LaBelle, Florida | I have a cowbred filly, sire and dam are both 15+ hands. She might be 14h if she is lucky as a 4 year old, don't expect her to get any more height. Love her size, she rides like a bigger horse too. |

| I have a mare off a good sized son of Dash ta Fame/Lanes Leinster stud....and a daughter of Streakin La Jolla. She has been DNA'd twice. She is about 14.2 right now as a 4 yr old this year. I got her for a pretty good price because she is short and very stout. Didn't fit the breeders "ideal". Fingers crossed on her! |

She is a funny, quirky little mare with a really huge personality. My husband loves her. (I do too, as long as I don't have to ride her LOL!) |
