So I am coming back around to building our business website. I have several different online/software builders in mind. But I can figure that out pretty well on my own.

My question is, who do you think has the best business websites for horse breeding, sales, training? I want to get ideas for the look of mine and only use the best ideas and what works. Please share links if possible.

In all honesty, I feel like so many people focus more on Facebook pages than websites. This is only because it is much easier to look things up with your phone than with your laptop/computer. I built a website for our horse training business, however we get much more traffic via Facebook than our actual website. That being said it is great to have a website where you can have a more in depth descriptions of your business and contact information. I just feel like a businesses Facebook page is just as important if not more so than a webpage.

I'm the webmaster for a friends Frenchmans Guy stud and I also made him a facebook page. I have to agree that the Facebook gets so much more traffic. My own horse facebook page vs website as well. I know in most searches facebook pages will come up faster than a website. I just make sure post a link to the websites via the facebook page.

lol you guys aren't answering her question...

If you want to see some petty spiffy farm sights check out the ky thorobred farms. three chimneys, clairborn, ashford stud... ect. they are all top notch.

I go through powweb the FG webpage is through ipage.
I had a webdesigner do mine, but I update it. The FG one was done prior through simple edit and I just changed it around and added newer pictures. You have to know html to do a lot of my harder edits (call the friend up for that) but the ipage is so easy my kids could do it.

Okay, I understand on the whole facebook thing. Trust me I will have a facebook page too. I am just trying to build a good solid website for other information to showcase our breeding. We will have three foals available next year and we are growing and potentially adding a stallion. I want to showcase our horses. Would anyone would be willing to look at my potential layout right now? I could PM them the link.

Just make sure that when you purchase/register your domain you purchase it in the .com, .org, and .net!!!!!!!

Best way of "insuring" your website!
