Cow people - what to use to stop ear bleeding?

one of my cows cut her ear on the barbed wire fence. It was dripping blood then started a stream of blood out of it. I called our vet and they weren't too worried. said she would be fine. However I put a ton of wonder dust on it, and that wouldn't stop it, so I used about 1/3 box of cornstarch lol. A friend came over and wrapped a special pad pre-attached to a vet wrap type bandage on it and so far it stopped the bleeding but maybe its just soaking it up :/ So what do you use to stop this type of bleeding??
I know the ears are bad for bleeding, when they mark the calves they bleed all over but this is a big 1300 lb cow! lol
I'm going to buy some blood stop powder at the store tomorrow. we are far from any store so I can't just run to the store! so I need to stay stocked up

She will be fine. She will not bleed to death from her ear, she won't even become anemic from it. The average cow has more than 10 gallons of blood in it's entire body. I would just leave it alone and let is scab over.

Blood stopper or go to Walmart and get ALUM in the spice section or picking section. It is the same thing as blood stopper. Keep it on hand. You never know when you will need it.

If you have a de-horner you can cauterize it.

Cattle are tough, I wouldn't worry too much over it. If it were one of the horses it would turn into a healthy vet bill

She'll be fine - don't worry about it.
