Expert Posts: 1631 Location: Somewhere around here	I read somewhere on here that when your riding in a padded seat your size can feel smaller and with a harder seat it can feel larger. How true is that statement? I can kinda see it and understand it though. I'm wanted a hard seat with my next saddle but now I'm wondering if I should order a half size smaller... Husband Spoiler Posts: 4151 Location: North Dakota	The padding takes up extra space. The seat size is measured to the stitching not to the beginning of the padding so if you have a 1/4"-1/2" padding on your seat it will feel tighter than a saddle without padding.

Expert Posts: 3815 Location: The best kept secret in TX	True statement. The padding makes the seats smaller by about a half size. So for instance if you are a 14 in a padded seat get a 13 1/2 in the hard seat
