Location: OK | The Senior Championship race in Texarkana was an overwhelming success. There were 487 entries representing many states. As with any big race there were a few minor problems but it seemed the 50 and over crowd were all raised to be courteous and there was no fussing and drama. I can tell you for sure that it was a tough race. The age thing did not make for an easy race. They do plan to have one again next year and to have the glitches worked out. I hope to go again and urge everyone who is 50 plus to go. |

 Go For It!
     Location: Texas |
I just posted this on my FB page!
So I went to Texarkana for the 1st Annual Senior Championship Barrel Race this past weekend. I want to publicly say that it was it was the MOST fun I have ever had at a barrel race. I met some amazing people and I want to give a shout out to Jackie Sue Coe Watlington... You and everyone involved, from the office to the gate, to the grounds crew and tractor drivers are what set the tone for this barrel race. I felt like I had been a part of your circle forever! After super late nights, early mornings, and days of barrel racing, everyone still had a fabulous attitude, and were as helpful and accommodating as they could possibly be. It set a precedent for the entire event. So you guys are definitely getting a five star rating from our group. And I'm betting that everyone that attended feels the same way! So THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! YOU GUYS ROCK!
