So if I have a horse that has began the 7 shot protocol for Adequan can he still receive the legend as well. The reason I ask is because I know legend is more fast acting and short term as he will not be done with the full 7 shot series before his next run.

Absolutely! I asked my vet this very question while back. I actually use both all the time anyway. And you can give them simultaneously. They have different effects on the horse anyway so a lot of people use both. The adequan shot you give today takes about 30 days to really take effect. There is some pretty immediate anti anflammatory from adequan but the internal joint effect takes time. Your correct on legend. It is usually out of the system 48 hours after administration.
