My 28 year old Mr. Trucka Jet gelding has the tongue hanging out thing going on. Â Guess those old teeth sometimes don't want to hold that tongue where it belongs.

Thanks. He actually doesn't have a tongue hanging out old folks mouth. He was actually being silly during session. |

Wow...he's beautiful! Looks to be in much better shape than some 15-18 year old horses I know. What is your/his secret for keeping him in such great shape?
He doesn't get anything fancy. Just free fed hay to make him feel like a horse, his teeth are gone. And he gets Amplify, mineral, Equine Senior and alfalfa pellets. I think part of his secret is that he just slowly munches all day in small amounts and stays stress free. He doesn't get real excited except as the vets when collecting. |

| Thanks everyone! I can't wait to see what other pics are to come but I was excited about these. Figure 13yrs was long enough to wait for pro pics. He is pretty special to me and just had to share.

No he isn't ridden or worked. He raced until he was 13 then I bought him and only rode him about twice a year on trails, now he just eats and breeds. |

My Dan is 37, and I wouldn't know what his tongue looked like IN his mouth!!! Chandler laughs at him, but I told him there's no telling what he would look like if he lived to be Dan's age---be lucky to even still HAVE a tongue

Wow, 37 years old. Not many live to be that old. I kind of hope my old guy lets me off the hook before that age. Feeding elderly horses is really expensive and it's a bit depressing to watch them deteriorate.
