Location: texas | Will post pics of my filly she is only 2.5 weeks old, she was born with and has 4 solid white hooves but no significant white markings on her legs as in socks or stockings..... She also has a white spot on her belly
My questions are:
1. Will hooves change color? Or stay white
2. Will she roan out just in the belly/flankes?

| Looks like she has a few white socks so my guess the feet will stay white.
As for roaning out, are her parents roan, if not I don't think so. |

Location: Georgia | Her feet will become darker in a few weeks. And I'm thinking she won't roan out. Just from the pictures, it looks like you are going to have a textbook sorrel. She is very cute!

| She has no white markings on her feet so they will darken and start to turn black as her feet grow over the next month or so. You will see a distinctive black growth ring showing up at her coronet band.
Roan coloring is tuff ... look at the next 3 times she sheds or grows hair .... summer baby hair .. fall growth of winter hair ... and yrlng spring shedding of winter hair ... and then 2yo spring winter hair shedding could be a surprise gift in store for you ... lol
If you see random distinctive white hairs appearing over her body .. this is a good sign. Although right now my eyes say she will be a pretty red sorrel.
HAVE FUN ... |
