For those of you who have been to Cheyenne Frontier Days, where is the closest Town to stay?
Ft. Collins or Laramie?? Anything closer??

What are the must see & do during Frontier days?

Any info would be great, trying to plan on going this year!!

I luckily have friends that live in Ft. Collins, which is a great town; restaurants, breweries, boutique shops, etc...

You may find www.cfdrodeo.com or www.cheyenne.org helpful. It's a great rodeo! Make sure to take the "behind the chutes" tour and take a walk through the Indian Village.

We stayed at the Hyatt in Ft. Collins one night & Laramie Wy one night & drove over to Cheyenne on the morning of the rodeo. Would do that again as it's MUCH MUCH cheaper than a room in Cheyenne + nice scenic drive

Most of the motels in Cheyenne double or triple their rates during the rodeo.

Ft Collins is a little closer and has better hotels overall.

Fort Collins is a much prettier town.
