What is the best working joint supplement? I have a 15 year old barrel horse who has been rode hard and put away wet many times by previous owners. He loves his job and will run three legged.... (Not that I would ever run him lame) but I want to get him on the best joint supplement. I can't afford to spend a million dollars and stuff. But I want something that actually works good to help him. Yes he gets scanned and will be injected if needed. He is up to date on shots and farrier work. He is just sore and needs extra help in his old age.

Thank you in advanced for all the advice!

For a feed through, Tight Joints Plus. But considering age and how he has been used I would bipass that and go for Pentosan Gold injections and Maybe Legend on race days.

Don't waste your money on feed throughs. Polyglycan twice a month and OE Flex twice a month. Magnets are great also. PHT and Sore No More Linament. Ice after runs and poultice.

From your description, I'd choose an IM injection such as Adaquan.

Agree with Adequan-my old barrel horse is 20 years old, we have ran her pretty hard since she was 7 and she is 110% sound. She is gritty and will also run three-legged but the Adequan helps her be more smooth in her movements and stay comfortable and run harder.

OE NUTRACEUTICALS Flex is a great product! 1 20cc dose contains 220mg of hyaluranic acid in an oral paste. You can do a loading dose and then a maintenance dose once a week.

And there latest product just released is called Game Changer. It has high levels of HA, Glucosamine and MSM along with Coq10, turmeric, grape seed extract and Phycocyanin which is an all natural Cox 2 inhibitor to help the body naturally with pain relief and safe for the stomach lining.

I use both products and love them!
