Location: Ohio | I have a mini donkey and have kept him in a 8X10 and he had plenty of room. Have also kept him in a 12X12 with a horse a lot....only stopped that practice because when stalled with one he eats their tail! |

Location: Ohio | I think 8X8 would be fine. Mine is not tiny, his back is at my hip I'm 5'3. My guy could lay down and have plenty of room in an 8X8. |

Location: Where the long tails flow, ND | I blocked off an area in my barn for ours, it's a 10ft panel on the side, and about the width of a plastic large dog kennel 5ft or so (that is her front door) LOL She loves to be able to see out and stays in most of the time. Unless she is feeling fiesty and wants to come out and visit then she just hops over. She's awesome! |

Location: Mississippi | No advice to offer on the stalls as mine stay out and have a shed to get under but mini donkeys are the best! And if anyone is nearby me, I have a few that need homes - I somehow went from 5 to 16 . I think I may be known as the crazy donkey lady

| We have a mini mare and a mini donkey and we just converted two of our horse stalls (12x12 I think) into stalls for them. We slide the doors open and have built them small gates on their stalls so they can stick their heads out during the day and see what's going on in the barn. Plus, the mini mare thinks she rules the barn and talks to everyone as they walk in and they all give her treats (go figure, haha). We tried putting them in together, but the donkey kept jumping out over her gate. But since she loves sticking her head out, we just gave him his own stall with a taller gate so he would stay in and she would be happy. We close the big, regular stall doors at night because our barn is open and I'm scared something will come in at night, get over their little gates, and harm them. So I play it safe at night and lock them in with the big doors. Plus it makes the mini mare feel a little safer, as she's older and doesn't see as well in the dark as she once did. But they're both spoiled to death! |

Thank you burn n turn:)
I guess I should add that they are good together and thy go outside together and get along great. They just have to be separated inside because she likes to stick her head over her low gate and he enjoys jumping over her gate. Lol |
