The younger people today think that just because the politicians have been lying to the people for the last fifty years, that's how things should operate. They believe that's normal. Well it's not! Trump threatens to tear all that down. He will discover the truth behind the lies we've been told over the course of the last several decades and the politicians behind those lies are terrified!! He will OUT any backroom deals in his attempt to get it to stop..
And the press has been hounding him ever since he threw his hat in the ring. The press, not the people, have chosen the last ten or so presidents... But their usual BS is not working this time and they can't understand why?? So they keep slinging dirt, hoping some of it will stick....
Love it! A visual of the classic mountain...mountains and a mole hill! |

Get rid of the career politicians! I'm tiried of them living like kings on our dollars while we have to scrape the barrel to survive. Term limits do not work, career politicians just move from senate to house, to other elected positions, to lobby positions...
What we need is no golden retirement/pension plan... Once they are out of office, they join the SS rolls just like every other none goverment employee... In fact, all government workers should go onto SS... cities, counties, states are struggling (bankrupt) trying to meet the promised retirement plans... when their annual budget is 50% for retired employees, it becomes a huge financial burden and cannot be substained for long.
If goverment retirement plans were discontinued, you'd see a completely revamped SS system! Term limits work for The Executive Branch i.e. Presidents....................................... And in which state has term limits worked?
I am not aware of any STATE with Term Limits. However, a referendum would display just how many Americans agree with the idea of term limits. And the last I was aware of, American Elected Officials serve at the PLEASURE of The American Voters....................................
Here you go... has it worked in these states?

I agree with the article's defining the difference between 'term limits' and 'life time limits'. I would have to say I have misused the terminology and should be advocating 'life time limits'. This concept would be much more effective than the current 'career politician'. |

Location: North Texas | Alsp, none of the States listed have had more than 20 years of any kind of term limits. And with Michigan being in the mix and it's heavily influenced one sided liberal pols have had over fifty years prior to set the course what has gone on........................... |

The link only provided the information as to which states had term limits. You'd need to ask those that live in those states if they think it works. My opinion is they don't work... career politicians find other positions to run for and the cycle just continues OR they become lobbyists/obtain jobs in the private sector where they keep their fingers in the cookie jar. IMHO....
Maybe the general populace doesn't understand how these career politicians manage to stay on as politicians, even with term limits?? |

Location: Bastrop, Texas | I don't give a sh!t what they do once they are out of office. I just don't want anyone making a lifelong career out of political office....and everything else that goes along with it.
Again.....75% agree. |

I'm sure if they had a real job they still wouldn't be working. Proves that it can be a real easy job..Yes..there are a few that actually work but there aren't many. They only work when they are out campaigning for their cushy job..LOL |

I too found lists like that but hesitated to present it because I never could determine if these were people that legislated within their states or went to DC to make laws for the country.
