It is with a heavy heart I share that French Streaktorodeo had to be put down due to his injury. Please pray for Cornelius and Maria Wiebe as they go through this difficult time. What an tremendous loss they are dealing with. He was one of the BEST A Streak Of Fling sons out there and was proving himself in the arena. Cornelius and Maria, my heart is breaking for you, I have tears running down my face. I am so, so very sorry...."
Just saw this and am super bummed I was suppose to breed a mare to him this next year. |

Location: North of the 49th Parallel | He got into an accident last week. This is what they posted on his facebook page: For those of you wondering (as I'm sure the rumours are flying), on Monday Rodeo tried jumping a fence and ended up landing on the post in the middle of the night where he sat caught up in the fence until morning, his winter blanket was stuck over the post when he was found. He suffered a very large hernia and now is at risk for infection and colic. He did colic mildly Tuesday but has been eating, drinking, urinating, and in great spirits so vets are very happy with that. Just taking it day by day. |

Location: Alberta, Canada | I watched Colby and Rodeo alot this year as I traveled to the CPRA rodeos... This loss is huge for Canada, and the barrel racing world in general. He was a phenomenal horse.. one of those ones that everyone ran to the fence to watch. And even when he was tied at the trailer, it was hard not to just stare at him. He will be missed greatly... prayers to the Wiebes and Colby as she heads down the alleyway in Edmonton in two weeks with her partner watching from above. |
