Has anyone ever had nuclear scintigraphy done on their horse? What was the cost? What were you looking for in the scan?

I've done it 2 times.  It was $1400.  First was for a suspensory issues, which confirmed them.  2nd was for a knee, which didn't show much.

We had ours done at Purdue University as well, and I believe our total bill said and done was right around $1,600. She stayed at the hospital two nights :)

That was about ours too! Did you do whole body or 1/2?  Did you also find out what the problem was?

That sucks, but probably healed up good. We had front suspensory strain that never healed and could not be found on Ultrasound either.  Our luck I guess. He was such a nice horse. Nuc Med did show the strain though.

I did a half last summer. I think it was around $900 or so- that included the scan, ultrasound- can't remember if we x-rayed and SI injections- plus a night or two overnight.......unfortunately the horse is still not sound. This was also at teaching hospital.
