Anyone know of a maker or store that sells decent ladies stovetop (16-17" high) boots for a reasonable price?
Paying $700 for boots is a little unreasonable!

For a custom boot 600-700 starting price is about standard for good makers. It is absolutely worth it on quality vs a store bought boot. However, if you want the very best boot for the money, period.....Then Beck Boots is it. They have a lot of instock boots (which wont help you much) and they also have a semi custom boot that is unbeatable on value. They will send you a kit for you to take a mold of your feet. Then you can choose from a small number of bottom and top colors, top height, toe shape, and basic stitching. They are done within a few weeks usually and it is only $499. I guarantee there is no better boot in the world for $499 and it is custom made to fit your foot. They are also the toughest boot anywhere. They have a patented sole that will outlast any other sole and it feels more like a leather sole than any other composite. Here is the link to the Working Cowboy Special. Tell them Trey and Katie Dove sent you if you call.

Anderson Bean has some wicked cool ones at Teskey's here in Weatherford. Go to Teskey's website. They may have them posted online. I'll update my post if I find them. saw them last week in the store and tried me on a pair.
Darn ... they aren't online yet.... Maybe try Anderson Bean's website? I've had good luck with my ABs this year.

My husband wears Honcho boots. They are custom made in TX. They run about $450 for him.

I wear Rios of Mercedes, same owners as Anderson Bean and Olathe. I do have one pair that is a women's boot, but the rest are men's. Many different styles, leather, etc to choose from.
