What do you pay for the 100 ml vial? and where do you get it? how does the dosing work? thinking about contacting my vet and giving it to my 19 yr old barrel horse. Any results and advice on it.

I used to get the 10 dose bottle. But just do a 7 shot series twice a year on mine. I pay 285.00 for the box of 7 shots. Valleyvet.com usually has the best deals on prescription meds that I have found. Having said that, adequan wont hurt a 19 year old but my experience has been that for younger horses with little to no issues adequan works best. It really is designed to PRESERVE and PROTECT the cartilage that already exists in a joint. For older horses that more wear and tear on their joints there are products better designed for those type horses like Pentosan , Legend, Polyglycan, etc. Hope that helps!

I can almost guarantee for that price its just Acetyl D Glucosamine shots. Some vets will say its same as adequan but not really true. Call your vet and ask whats in it. I want to know if my prediction is true. lol Even Pentosan is over 120 or so a bottle. Real adequan is way more than that, so my guess its just inject able glucosamine. You can buy that online without a script for 25.00/bottle
