My maxxed out slips back too. I have just given up and place it where I did all my other saddles behind the shoulder and it stays and I get even sweat patterns. Not sure I could ever go back to another brand of saddle though! I use the cutback pad that Charon sells and I do like the shape of it on his back.

I also use the Diamond Wool pad on my mare with my rocket that Charon recommends. It works awesome cause she has super high withers. All the other pads I had used before scooted back on her, but this one does not.

I use the diamond wool pad (the one with the velcro across the wither area) with my maxed out - works really good - fits my gelding perfectly!

And anyone wanting to part with their Promax I am still on the hunt!! Need a 14" seat or around that size.  Apparently finding a used one is like finding a needle in a haystack :
