| My mare twists her head to the outside at the barrels. Anyone else have this issue? I used a Pozzi lifter and no tie down. Any opinions on a bit that will help keep her nose tipped in and shoulder up? Her slow work is great. She "flattens" out on the turns instead of standing up. Maybe a bit change could help get her nose/should in a better place? Thanks! |

That's my ground zero for problems and I do it for myself. Usually at least one, sometimes two, rule out the need for the others. Sometimes though, the horse and I need to whole mash up. |

I have had all of those done but the clinic! I do work with a trainer and i know i have things to fix but im thinking the wrong bit isnt helping her like she needs. something to help put her in a position to lift her shoulder, tip her nose in and drive from the rear. |

I would try a chain mouth on her, I have a gelding that would tilt his head, had his teeth redone and found a blind wolf tooth that was causing pain, so after getting it taking out I switch him to a chain mouth and he never tilted again. |

Yes, i know there are plenty of rider errors but her twisting/flatteneing is my concern for a bit change.
