Location: North Dakota | Β My other half and I are getting married next fall and are planning a road trip through some areas of the Northwest and according to the Roundup's site it's held the second full week of September, which would work out perfectly time-wise. Any advice on the best days to go, activities to check out, etc would be much appreciated!

Location: Washington | We go for the slack which is on Monday and Tuesday, Monday is free and Tuesday they only charge 5 bucks.(I think) Wildhorse Casino offers free shuttles to the rodeo which is great because parking is a nightmare. Most hotels and restaurants raise their prices so be prepared. It's a great rodeo enjoy! |

Location: Where it isnβt cold! | If you have time, do the Underground Tour, it's awsome! A whole other world under the streets of Pendleton at one time, mostly the Chinese workers that weren't allowed above ground after dark. |

Location: Stephenville, TX | Pendleton is all kinds of fun! Its nearly impossible to find a room in Pendleton, so you'll need to book a room outside of town (which is a ways). I had a booth at Pendleton a couple times and I had to stay as far out as Milton-Freewater, Oregon or Walla Walla, Washington. Or I slept in my truck LOL! Wear comfortable shoes because you will be walking. Or you can flag someone down and jump in the back of their truck...people do it all the time in Pendleton. Besides the perfs, the Happy Canyon show, the Westward Ho parade on Friday and the museum, there is a ton of vendors set up all around the rodeo grounds and downtown. Hamley's is a popular place to shop and eat at the steakhouse. Another good place to eat is Prodigal Son. I used to go to Crabby's Underground in the evening to drink one beer and sweat off about 5lbs in that hot box of a bar LOL! Everywhere in town will be busy, so be prepared LOL! |
