I purchased an FX3 this spring and love the way it feels to ride in, however it kills my back when I run. I like a flatter seat and the Martin saddles seem to fit my horse's back well, so I'm pretty discouraged that it hurts my back so bad.

I'm physically fit, never had any back problems, and if I don't run for a few weeks it gets better which leads me to believe it's my new saddle. My horse accelerates out of the barrel hard and I think this is when my back is getting hurt since I have a hard time getting up in this saddle.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm trying to decide if I should sell this saddle and try something different, but I don't have a ton of money to waste on a bunch of different saddles. Has anyone ever had back pain after running in a Crown C? I've never ridden in one, but since my horse likes the Martin tree I was wondering about these.

I have crown c saddles.

2014 and earlier the seats are more countoured. I love these one as I am a forward rider

2015 and newer the seats are more flat. I absolutely hate these ones. I have sent mine back once already and it is going back again for a different tree. I can't get out of the saddle as fast as the 2014

Nope never had back pain in any crown c

I have fallen in love with the Reinsman team Camarillo saddles. They not only fit me absolutely perfect but they fit the whole variety of horse shapes I own.
