Location: Central Iowa | I know what I feed but everyone feeds so differently!
Would like to see what everyone feeds and what minerals too?
Do you change your feed from weanlings to yearlings? |

Location: Illinois | Mine is a yearling now, but when I got him he was on 6qts of sweet feed daily. I stopped that quickly and switched him to Total Equine, which is what I feed my others. He's always gotten the 4lb ration daily, same as my barrel horse and senior horse. He's thrived on it so far and is filled out better than any other yearling I've seen lately. They tend to be at that awkward phase of growth at this stage and he's very proportionate for his age and filled out well so far. |

Location: Smack Dab in the Middle | 1# Standlee alfalfa pellets + 2# Purina Strategy, twice a day. Brome hay.
I have two 2 year olds that are still getting that, have been since weaning, and they look like freakin' rockstars! I feed most of my older horses very similar (less) and don't waiver from that much unless a specific need arises. |

| This year mine are getting whole oats, peas, pumpkin seeds, alfalfa pellets, equi-omega 4:1, I have used a couple of different vit/min supplements until I get which one I want for sure. I was feeding Tribute but stopped after the contamination news and waited to hear more. I have an orphan foal who is doing really well on this. I got sick of fighting commercial feed problems. |
