| This is probably a long shot, but here goes nothing:
I have had back problems for years with issues that seem to stem off of that. I recently had an MRI and found out I have two bulging discs in my lower spine. I so badly want to get back to riding, even just for short pleasure rides, because I've been out of the saddle now for 6 months. My physical therapist thinks I should be OK on my gaited horses if I can somehow figure out a way to attach some sort of back rest/brace to my saddle so I don't have to sit straight up and down. She said being able to recline back slightly will help take the pressure off my lower spine.
So, any ideas of how to actually design something like that?? The best thing I can think of is trying to find a brace or something that's used in hippotherarpy, but I haven't looked into it that much. |

Location: Windoming | I've seen back braces like what you want made for handicapped people to ride, but don't know who makes them. |

I don't mean a brace per se, I mean something more similar to this:

I would be giving this man a call then, looks like you may be on to something since you found this web site, unless you have already talked to him. Looks like a good start right there, good luck.. |

I don't have back issues but when I use mine I can notice a difference in the ride then if I use one of my other pads. |
