The best bad guy on the internet Posts: 3519 Location: Arizona	I thought if you are an ERA rodeo athlete member that you couldn't compete in the NFR?? I am a bit confused.....please clarify.

Expert Posts: 2128	ERA shareholders or board members cannot compete in the PRCA. Many former share holders forfeited their shares so as to be able to compete in the PRCA again.

Saint Stacey	If you were a shareholder or on the board of directors for the ERA, you couldn't get your PRCA membership. The guys doing both gave up their stock and board position in order to do both. The WPRA had no rules for the 2016 season so the ladies could do whatever they want. They did follow the PRCA's lead for the 2017 season though. Tuf Cooper and Trevor have both been entering PRCA rodeos for 2017.

Elite Veteran Posts: 612	The ERA was designed to showcase the Elite Rodeo Cowboys and get them more money and more recognition. They felt that once that they had reached a certain level that they should be treated like and paid similar to other Professional Athletes. They wanted their own tour of rodeos that only the Elite Cowboys could enter. They were hoping that by having an Elite Tour with only 12 athletes, that their names would be household names similar to NASCAR and other professional sports. The theory is that everyone else could work their way up to the Elite Rodeos. I think that I have this right, but I could have misunderstood something.

"Heck's Coming With Me" Posts: 10794 Location: Kansas	I saw the ERA as being a bit on the narcissistic side with an end goal of winning a boatload of money without having to face very many contestants. Doubted that it would ever succeed.
