| Seeing Mary win last night brought a smile to my face, I've been rooting for her all year. Bitter sweet though to see Amber go all the way from 15 to 2nd and miss the title by 10k. Had |

Location: Bastrop, Texas | I think the barrel racing was the highlight of the NFR this year. Best I've ever seen, by far. It was great to have ground that was so good that it was no longer a factor, for the first time ever. Those horses ran in there hard and made the best turns, and it was nice to see that the riders didn't have to safety up like they did in the past. I really didn't have a favorite.
It was more than that, though. I thought all the events were exciting, and it was great to see the younger competitors shine the way they did. |

Location: Texas | Congrats to Mary. Mo does not seem like an easy horse to ride. I remember watching him at the AQHA show at Ft Worth 2 years ago (I think). He ran wide out of the third barrel much like he did this week but remember thinking how much faster could he be with a tight 3rd barrel but dang he was still winning. I don't know what type of injury he was recovering from but I almost had a heart attack when he hit that barrel. So afraid that she had lost the world. |
