Location: Running barrels or watching nascar | Read some things but I also want to hear from someone who actually went. From the pics saw, it looked like a bunch of tents. Not sure whether permanent or temporary. |

| The arena was nice. The alley was a little short but totally work-able. They are tents! I was talking with someone while we were there who said that the move from The Sands was permanent and that there is supposedly going to be a convention center built there for it. He said they had a 10-year permit for the tents. But this very well could all be false info I was provided with lol |

| What was the hotel like? I have been to Vegas but always stayed on the strip....
It looked like a well run event from what I could tell (as a non-competitor), except the Live Feed which gave me some major headaches.

I didn't go this year, but heard that the vendors were struggling at the new location. I liked having it at the Sands, and combining it with lunch at the Venezian...
How far is this new location from the Strip? I guess one would need a taxi... |

DEFINITELY need a taxi. Maybe a 10-15 minute drive? |

Location: So Cal | I didn't enter the barrel race so I can't speak to that (except I thought the set-up was kind of cool having the arena inside the tent with the shopping and all that), but I heard the same thing that several vendors were really unhappy. I don't know if it was the location or the fact that they didn't do a good enough job promoting Country Christmas so people knew where to go. They said it was pretty slow there just about the whole time. (versus the Convention Center which was always packed) |

Location: CTX | We also didn't enter the race, but did go shopping there on Friday. When we entered the tents around 10am it was pretty quiet, but it got pretty busy after lunch. We just took a taxi from the strip (15 min drive) and afer that we went on to Fremont street (5 min taxi ride) and watched the Friday performance in the Crowm Royal tent behind the D hotel. Very nice!! The only thing I can think of that we kind off frowned upon was the gun show in the tent next to the Stetson Chrismas..... we planned on going in, but had to pay admission to go in ($15 if you did not go into the Stetson Chrismas, or $10 if you did go in...) so we opted out of that, and went straight to Fremont. being from texas, we have plenty gunshows we can go to, and with the flight home in mind we were not looking at buying anything anyway. |

Location: CO | Very well run race. Check in and parking lot where handled smoothly. Stalls were in tents but nice. Warm up pen between the stalls. Arena set up was very functional. Free shuttle ran all day between arena, stalls and hotel. I wouldn't hesitate to enter again. |
