 i know you guys have some GREAT potato soup recipes - have read them before.  But......being blonde......i didn't copy them!  Can you post some of your favorites?  i am hungry for some homemade soup in this "chilly" freakin' weather!!!

This is the BHW staple recipe for Crock Pot Potato Soup......

 
POTATO SOUP
 
30 oz bag hashbrowns or diced potatoes
3 cans chicken broth
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup onions
8 oz cream cheese.

in crockpot - add 1st 4 ingredients and cook on low for 5 hours - then add softened cream cheese - let that dissolve.

^^^^^This is amazing potato soup! 
I also make my own.
Diced celery and onion, sauteed in Olive Oil and a little chicken broth.
Dice potatoes and add to celery/onion mixture. Cover with water and boil until potatoes are tender.  Drain, put back in pot add in milk, 1 stick of butter and chicken broth.  Salt and pepper to taste.  This weekend I added in crumbled sausage.

I thought it had bacon in it!

That is the basic...you can add bacon, ham, etc, etc etc

5 lbs of potatoes, peeled, diced, and boiled until soft
8 oz of chicken broth
2 small cream cheese
Onion powder, salt and pepper to taste
5 or 6 bacon strips crumbled in
Stir all together until cream cheese is completely melted.
You can substitute Neufatel cheese for the cream cheese if you want a lower fat content.

Well send some of that 70's my way. We are suppose to so cold I may not get out of the house. -10 to 0 wind chills. Yuck.
