Location: SW MO | Opinions on a hairline fracture in the knee? 4.5 months off, going sound. Getting x rays this week. Do fractures like this allow the horse to go back to normal athletic activity? Looking for others experiences. |

Location: Arkansas | We have one right below the knee in cannon bone. We were told rest and "confinement" for about 3 to 6 months and should come back fine. We're about 1 month in and I worry about him every day wondering what's happening in there as far as healing. I'm one of those that needs to SEE things happening. . . .
What was your plan of action from beginning til now? |

Location: Opelousas, LA | I had a filly with a stress fracture in her pastern, we were very lucky we found it since she was just about ready to race and is a monster sized filly. She could have easily fractured it at racing speed. We kept her in a stall for three weeks while she had three shockwave treatments, then she had six more weeks of only jogging, no loping or galloping. She came back great but she bled so she gets more time off. |

Location: Texas | Have you looked into feeding TLC Equibone? It's a little pricey, but they offer a 60 day guarentee. |

This was probably to the OP, but we put Sonny on Osteon from Platinum Performance. He's been on it about 2 weeks. Some days he doesn't give to his leg, then the next day he has a slight limp. It's driving me nuts
