| I got some Back on Track quick wraps over Christmas, and I just tried them on my 3yr old tonight. A few minutes after I put them on, she was stomping and semi-kicking (I just placed them on her back legs, waiting for fronts to come in mail). She seemed irritated the entire time they were on. She did quit when we fed her some hay to help distract her. Is this something anyone else has dealt with? If so, how long did it take for them to adjust? She is a sensitive horse, and has a pretty strong mare attitude, so I'm thinking she is just over reacting, but I hate to keep them on her and force her to wear something she isn't liking. I also wanted to use them in the trailer, but she already has a tendency to kick in the trailer so I'm definitely not doing that until she hopefully gets used to them. Also, I have wrapped her legs with regular no bows and standing wraps before and never had this happen, so I don't think its having something on her leg, I think its something to do with the heat from the BOT. Thanks for the help!

Location: Oklahoma | I never had any problems but my friend sells BOT and says you have to start out slow first day or so and then leave on longer. Good luck I love mine! |

| Thank you for the reply! I left them on for about 20 min at the most while I was cleaning stalls. Hopefully she will learn to tolerate them! |

Location: CTX | The third time I put my BOT sheet on my guy it was going to a race maybe 30 mins from home, I already had him wear it twice before at home for that amount of time, so I didn't think much of it.... well, the ramp wasn't even up before he started to do the macarena on there..... I mean, he was dancing like crazy..... So, I opened the trailer back up, and pulled the sheet of... had him wear it some more (and longer periods) at home and never had another issue. Some are just a little more sensitive about it. Just give her some more time to adjust. |

| Thank you! She is such a sensitive horse anyway and not tolerant of much, so Im glad to know I just need to keep trying! Hopefully she will get over it soon! |

| Are you putting these on just to put them on or is there an issue? What they do is keep the heat in the leg to promote circulation. If she is not having any problems then it could be they are too hot for her. It might be the reason she is trying to kick them off. I have some and they work great when I need to use them. I don't use them all the time though.

I was using them prior to riding just to help warm up her tendons. She doesn't have any issues, but just thought it would be a good preventive before riding as well as help with any subtle soreness she may get. She is a perlino, so maybe your right with it being too much for her with the light skin? |

| They could be more annoying to her then anything. Since shes's so young maybe she isn't used to back splint boots, my 3yo was doing that funny walk for about a day with them on just cause he wasn't used to having something thick/heavy on his back legs. |

Location: Cold Tundra | There probably causing too much heat for her. I would got with PHT magnetics because they will increase the circulation, but not cause the extra heat. |

I'm definitely interested in the PHT therapies! They are a little more pricey they I want to spend right now, but I'm hoping in the near future to get the sheet for her! I didn't like the idea of the BOT producing the heat if I wanted to use it in the summer. |

I have used plain no bow quilts with standing wraps, and she has never acted bothered by them! It was definitely weird to see her reaction..
Also, just as an update, I put them on her again today, and she was perfect!! I think she has accepted her fate with them lol! She seemed very relaxed, completely opposite of the first time she had them on.

I have one that did the same thing, except that she ripped the bottom strap off and put the pillow wrap in her water tub. Brand new set too |

I sleep in a BOT shirt under a regular t shirt and it does not make me hot at all. I thought it would be nice in winter and while I do feel it helps keep my back looser it definitely is not any warmer then sleeping in a shirt. I was surprised because I thought the same as you with my horse products. I would put her mesh sheet under her blanket in the winter thinking it would keep her warmer, but I doubt it does. I will be less conservative using my BOT in the summer now I've tried it for myself. |

I had wrapped her with nothing on her leg, so it wasn't anything like that, but I wrapped her again yesterday and she was perfect for it! |

Glad to hear this! That definitely makes me reconsider that....I definitely like the price of BOT better! |
